Core Return Instructions
Please include a copy of your original invoice with all core returns and make a note that the carb is for a “core return”. 100% core credit is given only to the exact engineering number purchased and complete core as sent to client. If you are sending a different core than the one purchased, please call to find out if we will accept your core in trade. There are many cores that have no value to us and we will not accept them. When calling please have the engineering numbers off your core that are located on the side of the mounting base or toe, or stamped on the body or the air horn (See pictures below).
All carburetors are evaluated upon receipt for correctness and missing, broken, wrong or non-restorable parts . Deductions are made for the cost of these parts and then the core value is credited back to client. Be aware that we receive many cores for credit that must individually evaluated. It may take several weeks to receive your core credit. You will receive a copy of the evaluation and a credit memo in the mail when your credit has been applied.

How does the core return process work and when will I get my core credit?
Once we have sent you a fully restored carburetor, put your old carburetor (core) in the box we sent the new one in and return it to us. Your core will be evaluated for any missing, broken, wrong or unrestorable parts. The value of these parts will be deducted from the core credit. In order to qualify for full credit, your old carburetor must be the same exact carburetor we sent you and it must be complete and free of any missing, broken, wrong or unrestorable parts. If there are differences between the two or if it has any missing, broken, wrong or unrestorable parts, deductions will be made. Once this evaluation occurs and your carburetor has been given a value, credit will be issued. Please be aware that upon evaluation, some carburetors have little to no value and may be returned to you. If your core has value, the credit will be applied to the credit card you used to purchase the new carburetor. You will receive a credit memo and credit card receipt in the mail as soon as the credit has been issued. If you paid for your new carburetor with a check or money order, then you will receive a check and a credit memo in the mail. Please be aware that the core evaluation process takes several weeks and there may be a considerable backlog of cores to be evaluated. Please be patient with this process. You WILL receive credit.
